Subbing
So I sub first grade at another school here and well the classroom was fine, but schools really need to make their subs feel welcome. One school I went to I was welcomed and they already knew who I was subbing for, they walked me to the classroom, made sure that everything was there for me, introduced me to near by teacher, and let me know that I should come/call the office for anything. Then I went to another school. I was sorta welcomed, asked to sign in, and then given direction to the classroom along with a set of keys so that I could unlock it and then bring back the key. Well which school would you rather go to? I will let you decided. As a school you should help make your subs feel welcomed and its super easy. Have someone walk them to the class, show them where the lounge is, show them where the staff restrooms are, and introduce to team teacher(s). This would seriously take like less than five minutes and can all be done while you are walking them to the class. These four simple things will make me and many other subs want to come back again and again. I haven't had a bad experience subbing but I am sure making mental notes of where I would want to get a job and where I wouldn't. Make your sub feel welcome and write good sub plans!
