Sunday
Today wasn't much different than yesterday, except we didn't go anywhere. Donny worked on homework form 10-4 and I watched a lot of TV and made this birthday card with a matching envelope.
Happy Halloween
Saturday
Well we didn't do much for a Saturday because we Donny need to work on homework. Since he worked on Homework all day we decided that we would take a walk around the 29th street mall. We also tried a new restaurant "Daphne's". The food was pretty good and I would totally go back. Sure had a good time walking around outside and I am so not ready for the weather to get cold.

Happy Birthday!
HAPPY 20th BIRTHDAY TREYCE! You're not a teenager anymore. Hope you have a great day!
Homework
Well its hard to believe that next week will be November and that Donny has been in school for a little over two months now and we have been living in Boulder for almost four months. Well will all this school it means that Donny is doing a lot of homework. Hours to be exact. So everyday I get to spend two to four hours alone at home doing well nothing really. I have however started making cards and I am loving it. Stamps have become my new favorite card tool and I just got an amazing amount of stamps from Mom! I am still in need of some more things to do. I think that I am going to start a surprise project for Nannie and Papa and many be take a cake decorating class at Michael's. Let's just see what November will bring during homework time.
Art Museum
While Mom and Dad were there we went to the Art Museum in Denver and went to the King Tut Exhibit. This is probably the 100th time I have said this this. Well unfortunately you aren't allowed to take pictures of the exhibit because it was a visiting one but we still need some pictures from our visit.

This is an awesome piece of real life art that is huge. This broom and dust pan were so big you can barley see us in the first picture.

Carving
What
Just wrote a long post for studio 208 and now it's gone. Forever. There is no way to get it back. That is just dumb it should have saved somewhere. Guess you don't get to see it now. Oh well.
Pumpkin Carving
We are carving our pumpkins tonight and I can't wait. I have been thinking about what to carve for a few days now and deciding is really hard. I had to start looking ahead of time because I take forever to decided. I think I finally have made a choice. Let hope that I am able to do it! And here is what I am going to attempt. I actually don't think that it will to hard because the lines are thick. Well I will post some pictures later.
Splat!
Halloween Cards
Visit
Mom and Dad came to visit last weekend and we had such a great time! Mom and I went and got pedicures on Saturday morning and just enjoyed a fun time together! The pedicures were great, but I just don't think anyone is going to measure up to the salon at home...they are just to good. I am loving my sparkly orange polish and tomorrow its so going to be warm enough to wear chacos to show them off! After our morning of relaxing we went off to the Mall and Pearl Street. Mom and I also made some Halloween cards after all our shopping. Then on Sunday we all went to the Denver Art Museum to see the King Tut Exhibit! It was a great weekend I just wish we would have more time. Well its only about four weeks until Thanksgiving when we visit again!

Half Day
So today I am subbing a half day this morning, which should be fun! Hopefully. Then I plan on coming home and finishing up some cleaning, grocery shopping, and maybe a nap all before Mom and Dad get here this evening. Then who knows what we are going to do. Maybe go to Flatirons Mall, Michale's, make some cards, watch "How to Train your Dragon", there are so many things on our agenda...hope we get to do it all! This day is going to be great! I just wish it didn't have to start so early. But I got my tea and coffee so I should be good to go!

Biking Pictures
The Day
Well today I didn't get a sub job, so I cleaned the whole downstairs and did laundry. I was planning on cleaning anyway because Mom and Dad are coming to visit! I am so excited! Mom and I are going to get pedicures and manicures. We are also planning to go shopping and make some cards. Then we are all going to go to the King Tut exhibit at the Denver Art Museum. This is going to be a fun weekend! Even if Donny has to do homework for a while, it means that I get to hangout and have fun! Mom, Dad...I hope that you enjoy your weekend while you are here and I can't to do all the stuff we have planned! Tomorrow I even have a half day sub job!

Pumpkin Patch
On Saturday, Donny, Josh, and I went to a local pumpkin patch to get some pumpkins! We had such a fun time looking for our pumpkins and I can't wait to carve them! We apparently picked the most popular farm in the area. There was a crazy line to get to the pumpkin area, but the farm is so big that it didn't seem the busy and they have such a good system of how to drive through and where you pay that it didn't take that long at all. While getting our pumpkins we also saw some farm animals, enjoyed some delicious apple cider, pumpkin bread, and caramel apples! So fun...I love fall!

Our Pumpkin Family

I decided that I need two pumpkins because one was so cute and small, but not a good carving pumpkin, and the second one is a perfect carving one!

Put its a bit heavy.

Oh Yeah
We are going to the pumpkin patch! Wait until you see our pictures! Oh and sometimes you just need to borrow a child...because three adults going to the pumpkin patch might be crazy, but we are going to have fun! This is Josh's first time going to the pumpkin patch since he was a little one. I think that he is going to have a fun time!!

News
Just found out that Shyrl, my mentor teacher is very sick. She was admitted to the hospital early this week and from some tests that were done found out that her kidney's have failed and they don't know if they will recover. I hope that if you read this you would pray for her, her family, and her classroom. I also hope that the rest of the 1st grade team is doing okay with all of this. And hope they know I am thinking of them! Being a teacher this effects so many people. I pray for a quick recovery and she is back to doing what she loves. I wish that I was in Junction subbing and could help out.
Laundry
I would do anything besides laundry. I really don't like it. Washing and drying isn't to bad, but putting it way is the worst. I should really hire someone to do it...any offers?
No Job
I am sad to say that I didn't get a sub job today or yesterday. Since the on-line part of getting a sub job is nearly impossible I have had to rely on the phone. And I did not get a phone call these two days. Hopefully next week! Donny normally doesn't work on Friday's so today would have been a sweet day to hang out, but no he goes into work today since he stayed home yesterday not feeling well. Now I am home alone and without a car (Donny didn't really want to ride his bike to work since he still isn't feeling 100%). Guess that means that I should probably to somethings around here. Got laundry to do and I hate laundry.

Tired
I don't know why I have been so tired lately. Maybe it is a combination of going to bed late a few nights in a row and not feeling 100%. The last few nights I have been coughing a lot. Last night Donny made me get up and get cough medicine, and I am glad that he did because I slept a lot better. And then today Donny text and said he was feeling like I was. Oh no not him too. I think that he has something but not the same as me. Hopefully all this yuckyness goes away quick!

Cold
I think that it finally decided to start getting cold here. And well it was quiet cool on Saturday and Sunday and after yesterday I thought we were back up for some sorta warm weather. But looks like today will be chilly and rainy. Right now in our house it feels super cold, but the temperature things says its 68 degrees. Excited to be wearing some of my sweaters and warm fall/winter clothes. I have loving the long sleeves! Hoping that we only get rain for a while longer, so not ready for the snow.

Just What We Needed
Today Donny and I treated ourselves to a couples massage at a local spa. It was so relaxing and think this should be come a regular thing...if only they weren't so pricey. I guess we will have to just have them as a treat. I though that it would be fun to do something relaxing together since Donny has been studying all the time and while he is doing that I am well doing nothing really. We had such a wonderful time hanging out together! And to top off the amazing massage Donny got a new snowboarding jacket...he had been wearing the same one for years so I guess it was time for an upgrade. This was quiet a relaxing Sunday and now we are ready for the week to start!
10.10.10
It's 10.10.10 today and well that's kinda cool. Ten years ago we though this day was so far away and now its here. There are only two more days when we will have three of the same numbers in a row in one day...November in '11 and December in '12. Just wonder how many people are waiting for those days? Josh's sister is getting married today and ironically it's not just because its 10.10.10, but that it is an anniversary of a Grandparent and they wanted to honor them by getting married on the same day which happen to be October 10th. I wonder how many weddings are going on today? Lots I would assume. The year we got married 7.7.7 was the day! Hope everyone has a wonderful 10.10.10!

The Day
So the day went pretty well. I would say that you just have to go with the flow and work with what you got when you sub...EVERY TIME. And there is no exception to that. I can't wait to be subbing more for the same teacher or in the same school. That would make everything smoother each time. I had a lot of fun with the 3rd graders today and can't wait to see what next week has waiting for me. It would be nice if I kept getting elementary jobs!
Early
I am up early for a change. Normally I don't get up until around 9 and sometimes later. That's just what happens when you don't have to be anywhere until 12pm. But not today! I am subbing 3rd grade at a really close school! I am thinking today is going to be great...hopefully. Although I think that my shoes look ridiculous with my pants, but I am not changing because i am sure they don't look as bad as I am thinking. Although I might change my pants? Better hurry because school starts at 8:15. Crazy here. Elementary starts before Middle school here.

Harvest Celebration!
So today I went to Zoe's Harvest Celebration at school. Preschool is so cute! The kids sang songs and we had some pumpkin muffins for a little snack. It's so fun to be apart of Zoe's family and I am glad that I could be there to celebrate such a fun time! I can't wait to look through the pictures that I have taken and start making a little scrapbook for the Mom and Dad. I am lucky to have such a great job!

Weekend
Oh my. I didn't realize how much time Donny was going to be spending doing homework. On Friday he doesn't have school or work so he went to the coffee shop and did homework for like 6 hours. Luckily I was at a temp nanny job, or I would have been extremely board. Then on Saturday we cleaned the house up and watched a lot of football. And when I say a lot I mean several games...then we watch the movie Blindside, which was a good movie. Josh loves collage football and I think there were three football games on Saturday that we watched. And only a little homework got done. Then yesterday Donny and Josh spent over 5 hours at the coffee shop. So what did I do? I went to Target and got some things we needed. Then I made a card, and watched some TV. Then I took lunch to the boys and went to Good Will (nothing). And came home and watched some more TV. Yesterday was quiet boring and I have a feeling the a lot more days are going to be like this. And then we ended the day with a trip to the grocery store to get dinner meals for the next weekish. Hopefully this next weekend will be more exciting, but who know how much homework Donny will have?
Temp Nanny
So this last Thursday and Friday I did a temp Nanny job. I watched a 2 year old and a 6 month old for an 8 hour day. The job was fine and the kids were great, but I don't think I am cut out to watch little kids all day, everyday. I really like my part time job and the ability to sub. Changes things up and I am getting a chance to be in the schools. Hopefully this Thursday/Friday I will be able to sub!
October
Well it appears that October has arrived and I wasn't fully on it with the September blogs. Well I will try really hard this month, but I am already off to a bad start. Well its October and that means its starting to get cooler and I am enjoying, but not looking forward to snow. This month is going to be a chill month where I see Donny doing lots of homework in free time. Mom and Dad are coming in a few weeks! We are going to go to the King Tut exhibit in Denver and of course go shopping! There are two birthdays this month...Nanny and Treyce. October starts the five month stretch of birthdays and holidays! Which will be totally fun! October sure is going to be fun!
