Weekend

This is going to be a great weekend. We have a wedding on Saturday in Junction. I am excited to go home and visit. I do have a dentist appointment Friday morning and I am not really looking forward to it, but besides that I have excited to go. I am going to go shopping and get a pedicure with mom and hang out with Jackie. It is all going to be so fun! I am also excited to see if my shoes are going to work and be super comfortable.

Nannying & Subbing

My nanny job is going great and I am so excited to have found such a wonderful family to work with. I am very lucky. And once I start subbing I think that it is going to be the perfect combination of subbing and nannying.

There is a lot that I have learned by watching this workshop and this is one of the things that we are going to be implemented. You would totally have to watch it to totally understand. I can't believe that I have to be somewhere at 10 and it still feels early. Maybe that is because I am just going to be later because I know I don't have to get up as early. I don't think that is the smartest decision ever, but at least I get stuff done at night.

Finally

I finally found myself some shoes to wear for weddings! Hopefully they will be comfortable and workout great! I can't wait to try them out on Saturday. I have been looking every where and just couldn't find something that was both fashionable and comfortable. Then I went to Clark's and found some great shoes. The man that helped me was so nice and understood what I wanted. Wait until you see them. A full story about the shoes can be viewed on the Studio208 blog a little later this week!

Today I watched Jasmine Star on CreativeLive workshop. We bought the five day workshop, but I still wanted to see it and then be able to watch it again. I just can't believe how much I have learned. Jasmine did some classroom stuff, but then also did the first look. I can't wait until we have a bride and groom that do a first look! Hopefully after watching Jasmine's workshop we can revamp things we do and make it even better! I can't wait to watch yesterdays session. What I did see from yesterday was so informative and there was so much information that I didn't even have enough of time to write it all down. Jasmine Star is such an inspiration and love reading her blog everyday. Can't wait for tomorrows session...they are showing us how Jasmine shots an actual wedding. It is going to amazing!

Day 3: Zoe

Once again I had a fun day with Zoe. And today we went down to the Flatirons mall and painted poetry. I painted a stove spoon. The one that you put on your stove that you use to rest utensils on while cooking and Zoe painted a kitty. We also went to the "beach" that is at the mall. Really its sad that surrounds a large fountain/pond and they have sand toys for kids.Zoe called it the beach. It was so cute. This is the last full day that I will be with Zoe and now I will be picking her up from pre-school and we won't really have any adventures of going on outings because she takes naps in the afternoon. I am enjoying my job so much! The weeks and months to come are going to be great. And this is going to be the perfect balance to subbing.

Day 2: Zoe

Today was another great day with Zoe. We went to the WOW Children's Museum and played with all role playing toys there. It reminded of the Doo Zoo. Except it didn't have face painting or ball pit. So tomorrow we are planning on going to Color Me Poetry! I am thinking that it is like Angelo's at home. Should be a good day. Last day of waking up early and Thursday I plan on sleeping in! It will be amazing!

Day 1: Zoe

First day wit Zoe and it sure was fun! This morning I took her to Little Gym and it is a pretty cool place. The kids so group activities and then learn skills such as strength and flexibility based off gymnastics along with listing, directions, and social skills. Definitely worth going there with kids. After Little Gym we walked to the bagel shop and got us a bagel and juice. Zoe still takes naps so I need to get myself some books to read so I am not bored out of my mind. Tomorrow should be fun! We are going to the children museum here in Boulder. Hope that everyone had a wonderful first day of school and this is a great year!

Up Early

I am up early and ready for my first day of nanny'ing. Can't wait to have a fun day with Zoe. Getting up early is not that enjoyable. At least it is light out! Well there's not to many days of getting up early so its will be okay. Should be a good day!

Biking

Wow. I didn't know that moving to Boulder meant that I was going to be going on crazy bike rides that range from 10-15miles long. Oh my that is crazy. Well today we got up and went out for a rides before Josh had to leave to go to Colorado Springs to meet up with the family to go watch the Bronco's games tonight. We were supposed to just go on a short one hour bike ride but it ending up being a 14.15 miles ride that was bout two hours long. It was fun now I think we are going to go down to the farmers market and check it our and grab some lunch. We rode by it now we are going to drive down there so we can walk around and look at the stuff.

Pool & Hot Tub

It is so fun having a pool and hot tub at our house. Well we don't have a private one in our backyard, but this is almost better...you don't have to do anything with it except use it! So tonight after hours of waiting so that Donny could beat god of war on the PlayStation we went over to the pool. Swam around for a while and then chilled in the hot tub. It was a good time and now I think I am going to have me some ice cream.

Friday

Well it is the Friday before school starts and I will not be going back to school. Its kinda a sad moments, but exciting at the same time because I know that I now have a career from all of my hard work from school in the past. Although I wish I had a job. Speaking of job...I start my nanny job on Monday! Oh yeah! I will be watching at 3 year old girl three days a week. The first week will be all day and after that it will only be four hours a day. It is going to be so fun and I can't wait to start. And then I will soon be subbing the other two days a week. I am hoping to get lots of elementary jobs but don't really know how this is going to work out for me. But for now I just take any job I can. I will be cautious of accepting middle school jobs because well I don't really like middle school age that much.

This week. Well haven't really done much this week. Oh wait. I painted our house. And it is looking amazing. I think that we have decided to take a sweet picture of the Flatirons and frame it to go above the fireplace. I think that it could look awesome! So we will wait and see, but I think that it will make our fireplace complete! Today I made some pretty sweet cards and in the process found a blog of card making. And they have videos and an online scrapbook store. I hit the jackpot. So I will be making more cards and making them sweet! Surprisingly the scrapbook store wasn't that expensive. Win. Watch out you may be getting a card. Hopefully we will go to the pool tonight...if Donny ever finishes up this game. Crazy PlayStation taking so long. Hope next week is great for everyone!

Blue Wall

Since we didn't have enough color we decided to paint the hallway blue. Well actually its called Slate Green and looks blue/gray. Its looking pretty good!

Caramel Wall

Our kitchen needed a face lift so we choose this lovely shade of brown/tan called warm caramel. The cabinets don't look so crazy now that our walls are colored! And the appliances are looking good too.

Orientation

Went to substitute orientation today and now I can officially sub in Boulder! This is a sad and happy moment. Sad because I didn't get a job and my own classroom and happy because I get to get into the schools and hopefully get a job next year! It was quiet a boring orientation, but now I get to sub!

Walls

The walls are all painted and I will be taking pictures in the morning! We now have brown, green, blue, and caramel walls to complete our downstairs. Its looking pretty good. Tomorrow I will be putting everything back together and getting those pictures up here. Now we are on a hunt for a piece of art to go above the fire place. Don't know what yet but hopefully when we find it its not crazy expensive. I could also make something but don't know about that yet. Hopefully you think our walls look as good as we do.

Color

Let the color begin! Today I am painting some of our walls. Bye Bye White, Hello Color! Got to get some pictures and the painting will be starting. Yesterday we went to home depot and got the paint along with the other materials we needed and totally scored with some oops paint. $5 for a whole gallon and we are thinking that it will probably work! Hope it all looks great!

Paint

So I am excited to be painted some more in our house. White walls are so boring and we need some more color. I am going to try and paint this week before I start my nanny job. I have temp on next week and then start my permanent one the next. We plan on living here for a while so we might as well enjoy our space while we are here. Got some colors picked out we are going to buy them today so that I can get started tomorrow! Soon our boring white walls will be gone!

Football

Well I don't normally watch football and Donny really doesn't watch it either. We will probably be watching a lot of Bronco football this year because Josh's brother is a player. It is totally crazy that we know someone who's brother is a Bronco player. Hopefully I don't fall asleep during this game. Excited for a game in a few weeks though. Dante is going to see a game and Jackie is going to come up and hang out! That will be fun!

11.8 Miles

What was I thinking. Today Josh really wanted to go on a bike ride and Donny finally got his bike tires fixed. So this was supposed to be a short little ride a baby ride as Josh would call it. I should have know that really wasn't going to happen because Josh just loves to bike. Guess it wasn't to bad but going up hills is so not fun. This was definitely the baby ride that turned into a big papa ride.

Purse Covers

Well its has been a while since we (mom and I) have gotten purse covers so we decided to order a few. Mom needed a new purse before school started and hopefully she will get them in time. We had lots of choices and made a decision on these three.



Can't wait to get one. To bad I have to wait until September when we go back to Junction! Definitely worth the wait.

Wow

I really have a lot of blog posts to write if I am going to get enough for the month. Guess I haven't really been keeping up and it started off so well. I think it is because there were so many days that I didn't really use the computer at all. Guess I will have to write something about today and today has been fun. We have had beautiful weather here!

Rain

Well this week had been an odd one out. It hasn't rain any afternoon yet this week. It has actually been quiet nice out all day. To bad I didn't get a chance to enjoy this wonderful weather. Its days like this week that I wish we had an outdoor pool, but in the winter the indoor pool is going to be amazing! Hopefully this no rain keeps up and we have another week like this!

Not Much

Since we have been back from our long weekend away doing photography not much has been going on. I had a couple of temp jobs that have kept my days a bit more busy. I haven't really been doing much else. Donny went to a concert in Denver tonight so I am at home doing nothing. I couldn't even go anywhere if I wanted to...Donny has the Jeep. Its the first time that having one car has been a bummer, but I guess if this is the worst that can happen it's not that bad. Hopefully tomorrow will be filled with some excitement and some fun!

Crested Butte

Well our stay here was short but it was really fun. We had never been to Crested Butte before so it was cool seeing the little mountain town. The wildflowers were beautiful. I hope that we can someday go back for a stay so that we could go downtown and see all the cool shops. Since we showed up just before the rehearsal and left right after we were done with pictures we didn't get to see much of anything. It was a fun stay and hopefully some pictures will be up on our blog really soon.

Long

Well we had a super fun and long weekend. We left Boulder Thursday night and headed to Junction. Friday I had a dentist appointment, hung out with mom, and made a baby gift with Nannie. Saturday I went shopping with mom, saw Jackie's wedding dress and classroom, did an engagement session, and then help Jackie with some school stuff. Sunday we went to breakfast with Jackie and Dante, got ready and drove to Crested Butte. Monday did wedding photography and then drove home to Boulder. Wow. We sure did a lot of stuff! What a great weekend!

2nd Day

Not the second day of anything in particular just the second day of August that's all. Well today I had a temp job through the nanny agency were I got my permanent position. Since my job doesn't actually start until the end of August I have the chance to pick up temp jobs. So last night I got a call about one and was super excited for two reasons. First, I wouldn't have a super boring day. Second, I would be getting paid and very well at that. So today I watched a 5 year old, 6.5 year old, and 8 year old. Had a pretty good time and will be going back on Wednesday. So looks like tomorrow I will be getting somethings done to get ready to go back to Junction for some photography. I need to make a birthday card, get my baby project started so all I have to do is sew, organize our room since Donny finally got the bookshelf put together, make sure all of our things are ready by Thursday night.

So excited for Thursday! Jackie is coming! Well sorta. She is going to Denver with Dante and we are going to try to meet up at the Flatirons mall before we leave town. Totally bummed that we are going to Junction the one weekend that they are going to be over here. Guess it works out because Saturday we are hanging out in Junction! Can't wait to see her wedding dresses and classroom. Don't know which one I am more excited for. Think its going to be a great week and weekend.

August

Wow. It is August. I am sure that I say this every month...I can't believe that it is here. Well it is. Today we are checking out another church and probably just hanging out and enjoying a Sunday. What does this month have in store for us? Well next week we will being doing an engagement session in Junction and a wedding in Cresta Bute. School will be starting for Donny, and I will be starting my nanny job and subbing. And baby Zavrick could be born at the end of the month. There is not much planned this month since school is starting. It should be an exciting month!
