Milk and Honey

Got sunburned when we went up to Ouray and found some natural remedies for sunburns on the internet and decided to try them out. First I got a sunburn on my face from being outside at field day and for that I put tea bags on it. It is best if you use black tea but we didn't have any so I just used some mint flavored tea and it really did reduce the redness of the burn. Tea worked well...didn't even look that bad the next day. For my shoulder burn I have been using milk and honey and noxima. The milk and honey is supposed to prevent your burn from peeling. So far so good. I really think that it has worked hopefully we continue to have no peeling. So if you want to try this here is what you can do:
Milk and Honey--You do a mixture of 1cup milk, 1/2cup honey and mix it together leaving it on the burn as long as possible.
Tea--There are two things you can do. 1)Make a pot of strong tea. Let cool in fridge. Soak towel and put on sunburn. Cool tea bags and save for later use on burn. 2)Get tea bags wet put directly on burn. FYI...Tea will stain.
Hopefully we have no more sunburns but if you do need to treat them here are a few things you can try. There are so many more just look for yourself. Enjoy the sun but don't for get the screen.
