Easter Prep!

I still like to dye eggs and then hunt for them on Easter. We have done this since I can remember. When I was younger we used to go to my Great Grandparents house for Easter lunch and egg hunt. We would hide and hunt eggs so many times the some eggs would get damaged and even lost. It is a good thing we hid them outside or it could be a problem. Yes we hide real eggs. I guess that some people don't hide the real ones...just fake ones. I also remember going shopping for new Easter outfits and unfortunately I don't think that we will be doing this because well I don't know what I would get and you have to spend money to do that and right now we are trying to save as much as possible for this fall. Not that a new outfit is really that expensive but I would rather get something else. Although you can't have Easter with out some egg dye! This is what we got this year!

First we were going to get the normal just color egg dye then Donny saw this and well Monsters are always fun! Hope Easter is fun and full of great memories.

Shoes!

So far I am loving my new shoes...hopefully I continue to love them.



And I was excited that they were not white!

Thursday Gym Time

So for the last couple of Thursdays Jackie and I have been going to an interval class at the gym. The first day that we went I couldn't believe how hard it was and after the class I could barley walk because my legs hurt so much. The second time wasn't as bad. I am not sure if it is because I was better or because a different girl taught the class. Well tomorrow will be the third time going to the class and well I don't know what girl will be teaching it but I hope it is the second one...she was better in my opinion. I am actually excited to go because I get to test my new shoes and see how much they help my knee. I am hoping that they are much better than my old ones. Only tomorrow will tell.

Gym

So yesterday I went to a water aerobics class with mom at the gym. I totally wasn't in to it at first but mom really wanted someone to go with and they had a free pass. I went and was actually surprised not to see that many old people there. I expected the class to be full of lots of little old ladies, not so much. I still pretty sure I was the youngest one there. The class was actually fun and I would totally try it again. Perhaps I will convince Jackie that we need to try it. So for all you out there who have been thinking about water aerobics try it...you might actually have fun. Just make sure you don't go in the morning or you will be with the old ladies. Epic

So today after I found out that my license went through and I was able to get sub jobs off subfinder again...it went crazy. I couldn't believe how many jobs were up there today. I can't even tell you how many times I have click all day and not gotten one job. And today it was crazy I think that total I got six jobs...totally unheard of! Along with this great news I was able to fill up all but one day this week not counting today. Overall today was a super successful day on subfinder and hopefully it will continue to get me more and more jobs and fill up April!

Best Day!

YEAH!! My sub licence was approved and now I can sub again! This is exciting because the teacher that I student taught with wanted me to sub and I was going to be so bummed if I didn't get to do that. Well I am sure there will be more to talk about later since it is only twelve. Gotta go check sub finder like crazy!

Three Days

I can't believe that there is only three days left of March and it is going to be April. I think that the weather is why it doesn't seem like it should be April. This next week it is supposed to warm a few days and then back into the high fifties. Well hopefully within these next three days I get some great news that will start April off right. Just seems hard to think that it is already going to be April before I know it I am going to saying I can't believe that we are moving and the new school year is already starting. Hopefully it is really warm by then. Until next time.

Yesterday

Yesterday was the last day that Donny will be going snowboarding until next season. Even though there is pretty good snow up at powderhorn today is the last day they are open. So while Donny snowboarded I went shopping with Mom. I actually bought something when we went out, which is amazing because I usually don't buy anything. I bought a new pair of running shoes and they are amazing so far. I bought them from a shoe store downtown and well they are super cool. Maybe there will be a picture in a later post. If you want to know about my shoes you are going to have ask me about them because its way to complicated to write about here. Hopefully they help my knee from not hurting and make everything at the gym more fun! Well I guess that the day yesterday was pretty good and from now on I can sleep in on Saturday!

Lame Day

Or at least half a lame day. So once again my license wasn't approved yet so as of right now I can't work next week...or the weeks after for that matter. Today I cleaned the kitchen, did all the laundry, and actually almost put them away. Think that doesn't sound like much but it is a pain to do laundry when you can't do it at your house. Took forever. And cleaning the kitchen I cleaned it good...and even mopped took more than an hour. Well this is part of my lame day. Although the day is not over and is not going to end lame it was. Donny did our taxes and well super excited for our refund! Now we are headed over to Jackie and Dante's for some pizza and wii! And I know we will have a great time! Well I am hoping that I will have some really great news on Monday and all will be well with my license stuff! One can always hope right.

Window

Today I babysat and discovered that not having automatic locks and two children in a car is a real pain. Also the four year old that I was watching was amazed by my handle that rolls down the window. First he was confused at how the window even got rolled down. I was thinking he was probably confused because there were no buttons on the door. When he tried it for himself he thought that it was so cool. So our jeep is really cool because you have to use a handle to roll down the window. It was really funny to think that he had never seen this before. Crazy.

Waiting

Its just waiting time now. Waiting for my license to come through so I can continue to sub. And I hope that it is soon real soon because I already have days in April that teacher would like me to sub. I am really thinking that it is going to be soon because I know several people who have had their license go through. So I am kinda wondering if it is going alphabetical because everyone I know has last names that start before mine. Which isn't really hard to do but hey. Although another person that I know that also hasn't had their license go through either has a last name that starts with t. Hopefully when I read this again in the future I will be thinking what was I worrying about so much? Everything works out when it is supposed to! Really hope I think this.

Danskos

I love my new Danskos! I finally have a Dansko that I can wear with skirts.


Now I just have to wait until my new running shoes to come in!

IPod Touch

I just have to thank the IPod touch for getting me two jobs this week! Go IPod! Yesterday I was using Mom's IPod to check subfinder and because of that I now have two jobs this week. Maybe I need to invest in one just to get a job. Two jobs would totally pay for it. Please can I have one? Well it don't really matter because as of Thursday I can no longer sub until my license comes through and well that could be another month or longer. This is not a joke. And even more bad news my second job this week was canceled. I really don't like when subfinder gives me a job and then takes it away. RUDE. Who knows maybe I will get a call in the morning and maybe it won't be for a high school! Gotta sub while I can. Well I am excited that I will be babysitting on Thursday for Anne and at least I know that job won't be canceled. Hopefully the week ends up working out and I get some jobs!

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday to me! Yes. I am saying happy birthday to myself because I finally spent my birthday money on a new pair of Danskos! I already owned one pair of Danskos and wear them all the time and I have been waiting since January to find a pair that actually fit. I have been to the store downtown several times and finally today I found some that fit. Maybe my next post will be a picture of them. I also ordered a new pair of running shoes today too! I can't believe I found two pairs of shoes in one day! Amazing! I have been looking for new running shoes for a while now...thought it is about time to replace the ones I have. Sure was a successful day so far. Still plan on going to Boarders so Donny can study and then working out at the gym! Guess getting up at 5:15 in the morning hasn't turned out to be to bad. Didn't even take a nap. Crazy I know. But I did drink coffee. Hope I enjoy this birthday present for years to come. Until next time.

5:15

I can't believe that I actually get up at 5:15 in the morning. I am so glad this is not an everyday occurrence it would be to much. If I had to get up this early everyday I would have to go to be early and we know how that works for you. Today I am subbing for high school math again and hoping that my day goes well. Thank you for coffee and naps when the clock says 5:15 in the morning!

Celebration!

Tonight, Donny and I went at ate at Chili's for dinner since I had a gift card. Really Donny getting accepted to boulder was a really good reason to go out! Still thinking that it is crazy that we will be moving to boulder before school starts in the Fall.
Today I sub for high school math and I really feel sorry for the classes when their teachers are gone because they are just doing busy work. Sure they are learning something but I am not sure they would do the same thing if their teacher were really there. I do appreciate when teachers are gone though...means a job for me!
Yesterday, Jackie and I went to a class at the gym and well I am crazy sore right now. When I woke up this morning it wasn't that bad and thought that it was going to be okay but as the day has gone on I have gotten more sore, especially in my legs. And yes I think that we are going back next week...we are crazy like that. Getting a pedicure tomorrow and maybe I will find some new running shoes. Went and looked at a couple of places today and nothing. Well there were shoes but I am really picky and to add more pickyness to it I don't want white. Unfortunately, there is like a one black shoes for every eight-hundred white shoes and I don't like Nike. Perhaps I will have to settle for white or not get any. And if you saw my shoes right now you would say just get a new pair. Can't wait for it to be warm everyday! Didn't really like the snow today. Until next time.

Accepted!

Yesterday Donny got some great news...He got accepted to Boulder! He applied to the PHD Computer Science Program back in January and finally heard back and couldn't believe that he actually got accepted. Now what? Well I guess it means that we are moving from Grand Junction to Boulder sometime in August. Hopefully I can get a teaching job there and everything just works out great! So when Donny applied he wanted to get accepted with a assistance-ship, which pays for your school, unfortunately they are unable to offer any assistance-ships next year due to budget cuts and such. So this means that we would have to pay for school ourselves, but the good news is that there is a chance for one next year and school doesn't cost as much as we were thinking. I am so excited that Donny got accepted and now its real...we are actually moving. I am sad that I will be leaving everything here but I know what its only a a short drive away.

Sun!

I have been enjoying this sun that we have been having the past few days! I even went outside without a jacket today. And that is crazy. To bad spring break wasn't this week. Spring break has really messed up my blogging. So the newest update is that if my license application doesn't process by next Thursday then I can no longer sub until the application is processed. We are given a two month grace period and well needless to say that is not long enough. CDE says that it takes 10-12 weeks and more. I am just hoping that everything goes through quick and I can continue to sub. Tomorrow is St. Patrick's Day so don't forget to wear green!

Time Change

If it wasn't for twitter Donny and I would have forgot about the time change. My clock used to change automatically until the time change dates changed. This wouldn't have been the first time that we forgot or didn't accommodate for the time change. Well I don't know if I want to thank twitter or not but getting an hour less of sleep hasn't been fun. Thankfully tomorrow is still technical spring break since there is no school and I can sleep in a bit and enjoy one more day. To make the last day count I think that I am going to go shopping with a friend and check sub finder a lot. Hopefully I can start filling up the last weeks of March with subbing.

Ouray

Finally

So I am finally posting some pictures from the wedding show. There are only a few and they aren't that great. We took them after the show was over or I should say Donny took them and he was in a hurry. Go figure. Well at least we have something. Hope they aren't terrible.

Spring Break

It hasn't really felt like spring break except for the fact that Donny doesn't have to go to school and I don't have any sub jobs. I blame the weather for this. We had very little sun with lots of snow, rain, and cold temperatures almost everyday. There was one day that it was warmer and sunny. In the weeks to come it is going to be getting nice outside and we are all going to be stuck inside. Guess it was a good week despite the weather. At the beginning of the week I helped mom organize the kitchen and fireplace room. Then on Thursday I went to Ouray to the vapor caves at the Wiesbaden Hotel. They have a hot springs in a cave and one that was outside. I would totally go back. Well I guess that there is still a few days left since there is no school on Monday.

Frosting Playdoh

So today while I was babysitting I made some awesome playdoh...Frosting Playdoh that you can eat. Although I wouldn't eat much because it will probably make you sick. It tasted like sugary peanut butter. This playdoh is so easy to make older kids could do it on their own. To make the playdoh you need: 1 can of frosting
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 cup peanut butter
Mix together and have fun!
I had a fun time babysitting and I really enjoyed the warm weather that we have gotten the privilege to experience today! I can't believe that Spring Break is coming to an end and there has been one warm day. Boo. Perhaps I can enjoy the sun when I don't have to sub.

Plans Change

Spring Break plans have changed and I am not going to Denver. There are two main reasons for this. One was that the weather channel was calling for ten inches to three feet of snow in the mountains and two Mom just had stuff around the house she wanted to get done (I can understand that). Although this morning there was a rock slide in Glenwood Springs Canyon and I-70 was closed indefinitely so even if we were still planning on going we would not have. Good news about the rock slide is that no one was hurt and there is only a 200 mile detour. Exit Rifle, to Craig, to Steamboat Springs, and down to Walcott back to I-70. So now what...Donny has his plans of going snowboarding everyday and I have nothing. I think that Mom and I might go up to Ouray and go to the vapor cave hot springs and one of the hotels there. Who knows with this crazy cold snow weather I wish I was somewhere warm. Perhaps at WPPI in Vegas. Maybe our website will be up ready to go tomorrow as planed, but with a major complications I am not sure that is going to happen. I will be hopeful for the end of the week! Website!

We worked on our website today and got a significant amount done. Or should I say I got a lot done slaving over it hours and hours (jk). Donny did sat on the couch and read his book while I worked though. Well the rest is up to him so hopefully it will up and running by the end of spring break. So today was the first Saturday in many Saturdays that Donny didn't go snowboarding. We started our morning by trying out My Favorite Muffin a cafe that is by Safeway. Then we went on a hunt for some new tennis shoes but they didn't have anything I liked and the hunt was short lived. Came home for a while then ventured off to Olive Garden for soup, salad, and bread sticks. Yes, we ate out twice in one day...it was like we were on vacation. After eating lunch we met Jackie and Dante at the park and played some basketball...and everyone was terrible. We did a free throw challenge and the winner, Donny, got 3 out of 10. Jackie did hold the record of 5 out of 10. So the day ended up being quite fun and exciting.

Friday Night

Friday nights are supposed to be fun and excited. Celebrating the end of a week and the start of the weekend. This Friday night I babysat and even though it was fun and the money wasn't bad I still don't think its quiet the ideal way to spend the night. Well maybe we will have make tomorrow fun and exciting. I love babysitting and can't wait until I watch my favorite kids again! I love them so much. Guess we are going to bed...and this is an early time for a school night, since I came home to Donny sleeping with the tv on. Must be super tired from the week. And I was the one who got up at 5:30am. Here's to a great weekend and a fun trip to Denver! Until next time.

Goats!

So this morning I am driving out to my sub job and I am going down J road and I see two goats wondering down the side of the road. Its early in the morning and it takes a minute to process what I just saw. Seeing two lost goats sure did make getting up at 5:30am a lot better. I only had a half day so I after my sub job I went out and saw my first graders and was a guest reader. I read Skippyjon Jones...the kids just love this crazy cat. It was a fun day visiting! Third

Today is March third and I really don't have anything to say. March has had a slow start. For the rest of March...Spring Break I am going to go to Denver, we have some senior pictures, and hopefully tons of subbing. I really hope that the weather get warmer and I can enjoy being outside. Hopefully tomorrow will bring something exciting to write about.

This is hard

We really need two computers. Donny has homework to do therefore I can't just use the computer for fun. This really makes blogging really hard. So once again I am not able to write that much. Maybe I can actually post something interesting in the next few days. Better let Donny get back to his homework. Until next time.

March!

Today is the first day of March. I can't believe that it is here and the weather was actually kinda nice. It wasn't so cold that you with that you didn't have to leave your house. Normally I would write all about what March has in store but that is going to have to wait because I have to get up at 5:30am in the morning. Why you ask...I am subbing and have to be there at 7am. Everything is going to have to wait until tomorrow. One thing thought. We are working on a website that should be pretty awesome. Hopefully it will be up and running sometime in the next couple of weeks. I must go make a lunch and get to bed...5:30 is already coming to early. Until next time.
