Wedding Show!

Had a wonderful time at the wedding show! And we booked one wedding for sure. We had a ton of people enter our drawing so we are hoping to book a few more weddings from the winners. I don't think that many people came to the wedding show to book a wedding so an after meeting is probably the best way to go. So the couple that we did book were super excited about our pictures and it is going to be a fun wedding to shot. Our booth ended up looking really good. We took some pictures but they are on Mom's computer. After standing for four hours my feet and legs hurt hopefully tomorrow is not to bad. Tomorrow is going to be fun I am subbing at the preschool and get to work with Mom and Nannie. Until next time.

One Day

The wedding show is tomorrow. We have everything from our house in the car and ready to go because mornings are not my best friend. I really hope the we have a successful show and book at least one hoping for many more than that. Donny wants to book 30. That is a lot. Today we went to Kamden's 1st birthday and Jayden's 3rd birthday party. Wow they are getting big. Emily had her baby today...Bronsen Patrick so I am subbing for Patty on Monday and Tuesday! Should be tons of fun! This next week is getting full. I am subbing on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and babysitting on Wednesday. So maybe on Friday I will get a sub job at a middle school or high school because there is no elementary school. I am so excited to be making some money! Really do have to get up early have to be at Mom and Dad's at 9am...the real 9am not the fake since they are helping take the stuff over to the show. Until next time.

The Day

Its Friday! Today I babysat for a few hours and then went and saw the kids at school. I feel really honored to be babysitting for Heather and know that she trust me with her kids. It is even more special that I am the only person that she has left the baby with besides her mom. That is way cool. When I went and saw the kids at school there were once again super excited to see me. One student even said that they thought that they would never see me again...after yesterday. First graders are so cute. Donny and I went out to dinner and had a relaxing night just walking around the mall. Even though its still early. Perhaps we will clean up our house. Cleaning is so not my favorite thing to do. Well its only two days until the wedding show...I am getting so excited. I just hope we book at least one wedding. The dream is to book up our summer and we have a good start with two weddings already. Although these aren't weddings that we are making money off of but still a ton of fun. We got our business cards today. The second time. Well the first set the we got had the wrong number...yes the wrong number. Well the problem is fixed but still means that we have 1000 cards with the wrong phone number. Crazy. Now I just have to figure out a way to use them...the number could easily be taken off. I couldn't believe that the number was wrong. All I can say is its a good thing we got new ones. Well two days from now is the wedding show and I will be telling all about it. Until next time.

Job!

So today I subbed for and aide in preschool. It was fun to see how things are done in preschool. It is not something that I would do everyday, but definitely a place I would sub. Two fun things happened while I was there. I went and saw the kids during my lunch time and I was greeted by a mob of hugs. I was very much missed and missed them. I can't wait to go back and see them. And I got another sub job....for a different first grade teacher for next Thursday! Went to Boarders with Donny and got the book Teaching with love and logic so I am going to begin reading that. Hopefully it is a great book and I learn lots. I was planning on going to Kaper Cafe but I am going to babysit for Heather and go there afterwords. Heather asked me to watch Ash and Brex while she goes on a field trip with Carter. I was the only one she trusts with a baby and a sick kid at the same time. I feel so special that she trusts me with her children. I just love those kids so much. I can't wait to go hang out at school with the kids and have a great Friday. I will be doing any last minute things for the wedding show and enjoying the weekend with Donny. Until next time.

Snow

It was been snowing all day. I can't believe how much snow we have had this year. It is to bad that I don't even like snow. Since it is snowing today I didn't go visit the kids today. I had plans to go tomorrow but I got a sub job! It is for an aide in preschool and you don't get paid quite as much but hey its a start. It will be fun and I will not be sitting at home all day! Today was full of nothing. For some reason my alarm did not go off and I woke up at 11:00. Its a good thing that I didn't have anywhere to go today or I would have been in trouble. I am excited to have a job tomorrow and will have to tell all about it tomorrow. I have not gone to the gym this week and better go tomorrow night. Donny and I were supposed to go yesterday but he had some crazy pain in his lower stomach which he thinks was a kidney stone. Everything was back to normal and it was like nothing happened. Crazy. Glad it was nothing serious. We got the youth room finished and it looks amazing. It is going to be interesting to see what the kids think of it. Only four days until the wedding show! Eye Appointment

So today I had my eye appointment. I decided to go have one because when driving at night it is difficult to see. The outcome of the appoint was that I am getting some glasses with a slight prescription for near sidedness and an anti glare. The doctor said that it might be extra sensitivity to lights but the glasses should help especially the anti glare and they will also make things far a way a bit sharper. I should be getting them in about ten days. I will definitely have to put up a picture. Today I also got my first for sure sub job. The only thing is that it doesn't happen until Feb. 11th. But it is a start. I am sure that I will sub before that. Hopefully. The wedding show is only five days away and I so can't wait. Today I went and got some heresy kisses for the tables! Tomorrow I am going to go up and visit at Wingate. It will be exciting to see the kids again. I have missed them. I have missed teaching math to the kids the most. I so can't wait to have my own class! I will have to tell you how the kids are doing. Tonight we are finishing up the youth room an getting the rest of those arcade games down. One Week!

The wedding show is in one week and at this time tomorrow we will know how many weddings we have booked and how much awesome new camera equipment we are going to be able to get. I so want a shoot sac. Well today we spend some time putting together our display and making sure that it looks great. And well it looked awesome. Last night we finished up painting the youth loft and it looks amazing. The funnest part was making abstract art for the room. Tomorrow I go to my sub orientation and I can't wait to start subbing. Looks like this week is going to be my busiest week in a while. With my orientation, eye appointment, then getting the last minutes touches for our wedding show , and going to the gym. Hopefully it is a great week. One thing that was really awesome was when mom and I went to a used book store and I got a ton of chapter books for my classroom. Thanks Mom. I will update about the subbing orientation. Today is also Kamden's 1st birthday. We will be celebrating by going to a party on Saturday at Chick-fil-a. I also got my hair fixed and it is better. The only thing that we really changed was the back and we add a few layers to it so it was not so straight. So far it is a good hair style and pretty easy to do in the morning. Until next time.

A Day of Excitement

I am so excited to announce that I finally got a call about subbing and I am going to the orientation on Monday. I hope that means that I can start subbing on Tuesday! To make the day even better I am getting my hair fixed so hopefully I will like it more that I do now. We also got our pictures for the wedding show and they all look great in their frames! I am so ready for the wedding show to be here. This day is just been great so far. I am also going to go pick up a summer school application. I really hope that I am able to teach summer school. I guess that we will see. Well I will let you know how the whole hair thing works out. I really just want to like it. Until next time.

New Hair Cut

Got my hair cut today...was super excited about getting it cut and now I don't love it. I wanted it to be more trendy looking and all I see is old lady. Well I guess that I will give it a few days and maybe have it changed. Guess I need to know more of what I want before I get it cut. Really not liking it even as a sit here. Oh, well it can be changed right. The days just keep going by that I have not heard about subbing. Hopefully I hear about it by Friday. The days have not been quiet as boring, but nothing exciting is happening. Hopefully Donny will hear from Boulder soon too so we can know what going to be happening in the future. The wedding show is just about a week and half away and I can't wait for that. Until next time.

Monday

The last day before Donny goes back to school and its kinda weird that I don't have to. Today and yesterday I organized all of my books that I have for my classroom. So now I have to decided how I want to level them. I hope that I get a job in the lower grades because if I don't my many of my books will not be useful. As far as the day goes it was better than sitting around doing nothing. For this week I have little plans. I do have a hair cut appointment on Wednesday, but that is the only scheduled thing. I sure hope I hear about subbing this week. Knowing my luck we will have our sub orientation on the day I am supposed to have my eye appointment. Hopefully they can fix my night driving (I can't see that well while driving at night). Don't worry its good enough. Tuesday should be a day of sitting around on the couch doing nothing. Although I do plan on going to the gym this week. Already went today. Did the elliptical for about twenty minutes. Until next time.

Saturday

So Friday wasn't as long and boring as I thought. I ended up going and getting a pedicure and didn't sit around at home being to board. I didn't end up cleaning up anything, but Donny and I cleaned up everything today. Last night we went and ate at Chili which was a fun dinner date. Saturday has come and gone and Donny starts school this next week. Hopefully I hear about subbing this week and start doing something productive. I think that this week I am going to scrapbook the pictures that I have from our honeymoon. I do know that I will be going to the gym and hanging out at home chilling. Until later.

Friday

Well it is Friday...but the day of the week doesn't really matter right now because everyday is the same. So today will end up being another day of excitement. Well if you call sitting on the couch and using the computer exciting. So today I think that I am going to clean some things up an organize. I don't know what yet but its better than sitting around all day. I so can't wait to start subbing. Well it is only the beginning of the day and I don't know what will get done, but I will let you know. Maybe today will be a productive day...maybe just another day of being lazy. I think that I have had one to many lazy days already and as of right now it looks like there are going to be more. Why have I been doing nothing? Well yesterday Donny went snowboarding and today he went climbing in Moab. Update on the day to come.

What now...

Now that I have finished school and I'm currently waiting to hear back about subbing I have be doing nothing. Well not completely...while Donny is out snowboarding I have been watching HGTV, interneting, and doing some wedding show planning. Besides that I have done nothing. Jackie and I have started going to the gym because she also has nothing to do. Today we tried a hip hop hustle class and it was alright. I would probably go back but I think I want to try some other classes too. Its a whole lot better than sitting on the couch. I have enjoyed this break but I am so ready to go out and teach.
We did some engagement pictures for Anna and Doug on January 4th and we will be photographing their wedding July 18th. It is so exciting to be getting booked for weddings this summer. Hopefully at the wedding show we will be able to book lots and buy some more equipment! That's the plan anyway. Along with doing photography this summer I hope to teach summer school.
Something else crazy that happened...when I went to Denver with mom at the end of December someone ran into our parked car. Yes it happened. The ice is crazy on the street in front of the apartments that someone hit the car. And because the damage is so great and the car is worth nothing it won't get fixed, but we do get some money which is going to pay for the work that we had done on the Jeep. Guess it all worked out in the end. Now we have a crazy car and a Jeep that runs great!
I though that I would share my portfolio with everyone....this was almost the toughest thing I did. Methods still beats it though. Take a look.

New Year....Long Time

Wow! My summer must have been so busy that I didn't even have time to write anything on here or it was to boring to tell anyone about. Since my last post so many things have happened. First the summer was great. I babysat Jayden and Kamden for six weeks and then just hung out enjoying no school. I had a blast babysitting and a good experience in potty training Jayden. Then in August my student teaching started and then in December it was over. Now I am completely school free and currently hold a bachelors degree in Elementary Education. For the details...
Student teaching was great. I could not have asked for a better mentor or school to do my student teaching at. I very much wish that we were not moving and I could get a job there. I had the most wonderful group of student who I am missing very much. Now that student teaching is over I have been doing nothing. And this is not an exaggeration of any kind. I have watched TV, took naps, played on the computer, and cleaned a little. I can't wait until I get to start subbing. And I turned in my sub application today so hopefully they get to looking at them and I can start subbing before to long.
The new year...The new year is just like every other new year nothing exciting happens. Except my birthday!! I am now twenty-three. Birthday festives included: biscuts and gravy for breakfast, party with Papa and Nannie at Moms, and ham and cheesy potatoes for dinner made by Clara. Mom was sick so she missed out. Although she did join us for Gagheis the night before. I think that I had a wonderful birthday go money to by new Danskos and something else, clothes, brown fiesta wear, and a green scarf.
Thing coming up in the near future...Donny and I will be at the Grand Junction Wedding Show on the 31st, Donny finds out if he is accepted to grad school in boulder, and hopefully I start subbing.
