Saturday full of fun

I guess that you could say that. Did not really do much and we actually got up at a reasonable time. We ate some breakfast at Chick-fil-A, went to the bank and got my eyebrows waxed all before 11am! Then we went to my parents house and I help my mom stain her cabinets for the bathroom, went to the t-mobile store for Donny (he is getting a new phone), went on a walk at the river trail and came home. What a day! Tomorrow ought to be exciting to getting ready to leave for Indiana and all.

Can you belive it?

School has already been out for two weeks. It seems like forever I can't believe I am about to say this but I am kind of missing it. Not the homework aspect of going to school but the getting up an having something to do part of it. I have figured out its not going to school that sucks its the homework. My summer class starts here on June 16th we will see if I have the same attitude.

Nothing much is new except that on Monday, Donny and I will be leaving to go to Indiana for the week to go to Clara's Graduation!! I can't wait to see everyone again! After we get back I am sure that the summer will go by super quick with everything that we have going on. Clara moving here, camping trip (trips as Donny would hope), anniversary celebration and a couple of weddings to go to. Summer is so fun, but I have to say school is not so bad.

Parker Fun!

Can you believe that there was snow on the way over?

A giraffes legs alone can be 5ft tall.

Back from Parker!

This weekend I went to Denver with my mom for her doctors appointment while we were there we stayed with my aunt and uncle in Parker which is about a 30min. drive to were my mom has here appointment. While we were there we went to the wildlife experience which is like a museum of different animals and watch an educational movie called Sea Monsters. The museum is pretty sweet and will be even cooler when they have the additions done next summer. My mom and I did some lite shopping while we were there while the everyone else took Jake (my cousin) to the airport to meet his grandparents in Orlando, Florida to go to Disney World for four days then on a Disney cruse for three days. Um so not fair. After shopping was over the adults sat outside and looked at the baby name book. After much discussion the names that my aunt and uncle like are Noah Matthew and Abigail Maci. My aunt is due in January so this baby will be adding to our month of cake and ice cream. Maybe we should just start having one huge birthday for everyone. If the baby is a girl then I will no longer be the only granddaughter that Papa and Nannie (my grandparents) have. We will see what happens? Overall the trip was fun and I really enjoyed getting to see everyone!

Day 1 of Freedom

Today was the first official day of no school for the semester! Did not really do much except watch TV, surf the internet, and go to work. This not working and not going to school I am going to have to find a hobby that will occupy time so I am not watching TV all day, besides this gets really boring. Its sure is fun for the first few weeks though. I am so enjoying that I don't have any homework for the weekend! Yeah for summer time!

Schools out for Summer...

at least until summer classes start. All of my finals are done and I am free of nightly homework and weekends studying. This semester was good, except for my calculus class which I made the last minute decision to not take the final. I thought that it would be pretty useless to take it if I was just going to take it again anyway. Well I am super excited that it is over and now I only have three more semesters to go!!

Work! Babysitting

Today I went and meet with the family that I am going to babysit for this summer and hopefully continue into the school year as well. When I got to their house the mom (Heather) showed me around the house. they have a sweet house located out on k and 20 road. While taking a tour of the house she showed me the boys rooms, the play room, the office, scrapbook room, and the theater room. So yeah its a pretty sweet house. The kids that I will be watching are 6 years old and 3 years old that love to do crafts and play outside. I think that it will be a great job and I will definitely look forward to going there everyday, well the days that I have to. By the way I will only be working on Monday and Wednesday from about 1:30 to 5:30 and a possible a bit later on Mondays but that is ok. Well I definitely have to go study for my tests.

Crazy Wal-Mart

Last night we went grocery shopping at Wal-Mart and saw the craziest thing in the whole world. The lady in line behind us had the most Tostitos pizzas in one cart that I have ever seen along with the hugest bottles of dish soap and not just one, there was like eight.

While at Wal-Mart we used some reusable bags and saved not having probably about 8-10 plastic bags. Not only does this not waste plastic bags, but it makes it a whole lot easier to carry the food in. This is always a plus. I can not wait to get more of the reusable bags!

This is the official last week of school, finals week, I am so glad that this week is finally here. Even though we have to take tests it is still the best week of the semester. I have already taken one of my finals and only have two more to do on Wednesday and a take home to finish. So as of Wednesday at noon I am free!

Sitting for way to long

No one should be punished to have to sit as long as I did today. I went to my mom's college graduation and sat for almost 3 hours, then went and saw a 2.5 hours long movie, Speed Racer, good movie by the way and then after this had to ride in the car for 4 hours. I am totally worn out about sitting and don't really want to sit anymore for a long time. Now I am going to go lay down on the comfortable couch and watch some TV thinking about how I should be studying for finals that's what Sundays are for right?

It has arrived

So we got our camera today and thanks the the Ammons it was safely kept while we were at school. Unfortunately we did not get to play with it until after we drove four hours to Denver for my moms graduation. Currently Donny is exploring all of it abilities while I am playing on the computer looking up how to be more eco-friendly aka a hippy. Currently I am researching sweet reusable shopping bags and have decided to try and make my own non-toxic cleaning products. This is going to my summer project since I will not be working and only have calculus and history class.

No more work!!

Just gave my two week notice to JCPenny's and my last day will be on May 20th. YEAH! Well its not really no more work because I am going to be starting a babysitting job!! Then summer school starts and well that's almost worse than a job. I am supper excited and can't wait to be done.

Camera!

So after much thought and consideration we have just purchased the sweetest camera in the whole world. Yes, someday we will be professionals and then you will be begging us to take you pictures and unfortunately we will have to charge you a ton of money, but as for now we are not professionals and will want some excuse to use its awesomeness and will be begging you to let us take your picture at no charge. Sweet deal huh. So I know you have been awaiting.....the camera that we bought is the Canon Rebal XTI. It has great reviews and will be a camera that will be usable for many years especially since there are so many lens that you can buy for it.

On to another topic....Got awesome news at school today in one of my class. I get to have a take home final in my PE class (this is a teacher education class not one that you get to have fun in), which is really sweet because that means that I do not have to go to class next Monday night. Sorry Donny. Don't feel to bad for him he has several other easy finals and a take home in a different class. And only one more week of school left! YEAH!

Can't wait to get our camera and for school to be over. Hope that the next two weeks are good and will tell you more when the camera arrives.

Thinking Time

While at work tonight I was doing some thinking about friends. First you need to know why I started thinking about this so here is the story. Ashleah just had her birthday and we are going out to celebrate on Saturday with other people...that is what was supposed to happen but everyone else is a flake and can't come now. So Ashleah and I were talking about what we wanted to do (really what she wanted to do cuz its her birthday) and first we thought maybe we would reschedule to another time when other friends could join us then a brilliant second option came to Ashleah...forget everyone else and we will just go without them sounds good to me. Then it got me thinking why do people who say they are your friends tell you that they will be able to do something then at the last min. decided that they can't because something (usually work came up). In my opinion I think that they should tell you straight up that they don't know instead of getting you all excited about going then letting you down. People who do this get a reputation and then you just don't rely on them for anything. This is defiantly not the kind of friend I want to be and hope that I am not. I just want to thank two friends that I have that have never let me down.

Snow in May?

Its May 1st and last night it snowed on the Book Cliffs. I can not believe that it is so cold out that there is a chance of snow again tonight. Today's high is 48 degrees, while yesterday it was already 65 degrees when we went to school at 8:30am. I just want it to be warm outside and stop being windy. Soon that day will come and I will probably be complaining that it is too hot out, but at least there will be no snow.
